District Governors all over the world have been elected & are making their travel plans to attend International Convention at Sydney to take their oath of office.My congratulations to all the DG's & I sincerely wish them the very best of luck & leave no stone unturned to take Lionism to the pinnacle of glory.
This is also the time for finalizing their cabinets which all DG elects shall be doing so in the right earnest.Here comes the deli ma because their are so many contenders for different posts & also commitments made during election campaign,above all the pressure groups so very active in every district pulling the poor fellow in all directions leaving him in a spot of bother.He has to walk a tight rope and use all his skills & wisdom to do a balancing act.This is easier said then done & in most of the cases DG elects end making a mockery of International & Multiple constitution .I am of the firm opinion that our constitution is sacrosanct & must be followed at any cost.There is always a place for capable, dedicated Lions whose services must be utilised by the DG elects.But non performers & sycophants must be sidelined in the interest of Lionism.All true the Lions on whom the responsibility is given as part of the District cabinet must fulfill their assignments to the best of their abilities because it is on their shoulders lies the burden to live upto our moto WE SERVE & so also our status as the worlds largest Service organization is maintained.So happy moments ahead for all DG elects.
